Computer Vision

Over the last five years, the fields of AI and ML have achieved significant advancements in computer vision (e.g., object detection and classification.). While the technology has leapfrogged forward, deployment of computer vision applications is still nascent in the Federal government.

Government Acquisitions, Inc (GAI) and NVIDIA are no strangers to Computer Vision and are working together to bring you the solution that will accelerate and modernize your deployment.

Computer vision (CV) is quickly becoming the front line of analytics for visual data. CV is already widely used in the private sector, healthcare, and law enforcement. But, despite the technology’s maturation, CV has yet to make a major impact across the Federal government. MeriTalk, in partnership with Government Acquisitions, Inc. (GAI) and NVIDIA, surveyed 150 Federal IT decision-makers across Federal Civilian agencies and the DoD to explore:

  • Federal awareness of CV applications and benefits
  • Adoption barriers, including IT infrastructure gaps
  • What CV leaders are learning

MeriTalk’s editor-in-chief John Curran sits down with Ryan Simpson, Senior Data Scientist at NVIDIA and Mike Broadwater, Vice President of Technology Services at Government Acquisitions, Inc. (GAI), to dive into CV – applications, maturity, adoption barriers, and examples of how agencies are putting CV to work. How will CV impact the future?
